Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, I relocated to Fort Myers, Florida at an early age and graduated from Fort Myers High School.

After 51 years in Lee County I have now relocated to Maryland with my husband to be closer to our daughters.

In my childhood home, there was constant abuse and my art was an escape from this terror and uncertainty of a tragic home life.  However it has made me into the artist/person I am today, something good has come out of something horrific.

I had art classes in high school, attend some college and adult night school courses, however I am mainly self-taught.  I dabbled in art for years while raising two daughters.  The empty nest in 2007 allowed me more time to pursue my love of art and I now have an in home studio.  I work in many mediums such as photography, colored pencil, acrylic, cracked egg shell art (my own invention), sewing, mixed media, pen & ink or whatever I am inspired to use.

When I was a member of the Art League of Fort Myers, I built and managed the online presence of their website and Facebook from 2011-2014, held the position of board member in 2011-2012, 2nd Vice President in 2012-2013 and was President from 2013-2014. 

I was in charge of getting artist for a pop-up gallery in Bootleggers Alley, for Art in the Alley during the Fort Myers, Florida Art Walk and Music Walk from 2017 to 2020 until Co-vid-19 and moving to Maryland.  The alley was free to artist to set up and sell their art wears and I now is managed by other artist.

All my art is inspired through Spirit of the Universe, and that Spirit is my muse.
