About KiKi Brewsaugh
There’s art in all aspects of life—just ask KiKi Brewsaugh, who paints in a wide range of media, including one that is quite unusual—eggs.
KiKi has found a variety of ways to bring her artist’s touch to the egg. She started painting eggs in the 1990s. She paints in acrylic on the surface of a whole egg—and has even painted a series of up to 24 eggs with a common theme. Even more distinctive is her “Cracked Egg” art, in which she breaks a painted egg and then applies the painted pieces of shell to a painted canvas. In addition to her egg art, KiKi works in colored pencil, acrylic and graphite. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, KiKi relocated to Fort Myers at an early age and was graduated from Fort Myers High School. KiKi paints from her home studio. In addition to art, KiKi enjoys belly dancing, tennis, sewing and “being CEO of the Brewsaugh household.” She also manages the online presence for the Art League of Fort Myers via website and Facebook and is currently on the board as 2nd Vice President. KiKi's work has been on display for various art shows at the Art League of Fort Myers, Alliance for the Arts, Arts for Act, Art at the Oasis Condominium Penthouse and the Harbor Side Event Center in Fort Myers for Cele-Bra-tion to benefit Susan G. Komen for breast cancer . She donated an art piece to Global Community Engagement for a silent auction fundraiser at the performance of The Vagina Monologues to benefit ACT of Fort Myers. She describes her art as “my own—I don’t like copying others. All art is inspired through divine spirit, and that spirit is my muse.” |
