About KiKi Brewsaugh
There’s art in all aspects of life!.
The egg! I have a passion for the art of painting the egg by covering the whole surface with acrylics as scenes or characters. The biggest commission was a series of up to 24 eggs with a common theme.
Even more distinctive is my “Cracked Egg” art, in which I break a painted egg and then apply the pieces of shell to a painted canvas.
In addition to the egg art, I enjoy working in colored pencil, acrylic, graphite, photography, masking tape sculptures and various other mediums.
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, I relocated to Fort Myers at an early age and graduated from Fort Myers High School.
I paint from my home studio. In addition to art, I enjoy belly dancing, tennis, sewing and “being CEO of the Brewsaugh household.”
Also, I built and managed the online presence for the Art League of Fort Myers via website and Facebook from 2011-2014, held the position of board member in 2011-2012, 2nd Vice President in 2012-2013 and was President from 2013-2014.
My work has been on display for various art shows at:
Art League of Fort Myers
Cape Coral Art League
Alliance for the Arts
Arts for Act
Artful Missions, to help with the rescuing and restoring victims of human trafficking
Art at the Oasis Condominium Penthouse
Harbor Side Event Center in Fort Myers for Celebration to benefit Susan G. Komen for breast cancer
Pieces were donated to several fundraiser events such as a:
Global Community Engagement for a silent auction fundraiser at the performance of The Vagina Monologues to benefit ACT of Fort Myers,
Art League of Fort Myers event to benefit Footsteps to the Future that helps girls in and aging out of the foster care system.
I describe my art as “my own—I don’t like copying others. “All art is inspired through divine spirit, and that spirit is my muse.”
